Modell: PAWVIA Dog Ramp for Cars

Safety instructions

  • For dogs up to 75 kg (Telescope 380 and 440: up to 70 kg). Only one dog on the ramp at a time.
  • Not for people. Do not use as a ladder, bridge or loading ramp.
  • Set up the ramp on firm, level ground. Check that the upper support sits securely before each use.
  • Before use, check that the side rails are fully extended and locked.
  • Mind your fingers when closing the ramp: risk of crushing.
  • Keep your dog on a lead and never leave it unattended on the ramp.
  • The walking surface can be slippery in ice, snow or mud.
  • Depending on the length, the ramp weighs 12 to 26 kg. Protect your back when lifting.
  • Do not let children play with the ramp.
  • Secure it in the vehicle so it cannot slide.

Four things your dog feels on the dog ramp.

Angle, grip, width and stability. He notices it with the first step.

  • Dog walks over the PAWVIA ramp into an SUV

    The angle

18° at the recommended boot lip. He walks instead of climbing. Less effort, less pressure on hip and elbow.

  • Telescopic rail with artificial turf step

    The grip

Every plate is bent into a step and covered with artificial turf. Non-slip, even with wet paws, even downhill.

  • Artificial turf walking surface with tape measure

    The width

43.5 cm walking surface. He does not have to balance, not even when turning around at the top by the boot lip.

  • Rubber foot of the ramp on the ground

    The stability

Aluminium telescopic rails in ladder-grade quality, rubber feet below, support on top. Nothing gives and nothing wobbles, up to 75 kg.

What customers say about the dog ramp.

4.8 Excellent

  • The step design is very good and surely a reason for the quick, good acceptance.

    Telescope 260

  • After eight years of daily use it still works. Now the second one for the new car.

    Telescope 320

  • One of my best investments. With the strap fastened to the back seat, I could pull the ramp out and put it away again with one hand.

In professional use

Three steps: pull out, place, slide back.

The dog ramp stays in the car. You pull it out, place it and slide it back.

  1. 01

    Pull out

Open the tailgate, grab the end and pull it out segment by segment until the rubber feet are on the ground. With little space behind the car, you only pull it out as far as you need.

  2. 02

    Place

The support rests on the boot lip. You only lift the end: with the 260 that is 4.5 kg. Your other hand holds the lead.

  3. 03

    Slide back

Slide it together, across the boot behind the back seat, tailgate shut. 70 cm collapsed (260), 78 cm (320).

A longer dog ramp lies flatter: 18° instead of 26°.

Four lengths of dog ramp, from estate to van.

The higher the entry, the longer the ramp, so the angle stays shallow. Measure the boot lip from the ground to the edge, with a dog crate up to the crate threshold.

The dog ramp with the grip of dog stairs.

Dog stairs give grip, but they are steep. A ramp is shallow, but smooth. The PAWVIA dog ramp has the shallow path of the ramp and the steps of the stairs.

The PAWVIA dog ramp: patented, made in Germany since 2013.

The idea was simple: a ramp long enough for a shallow path, small enough for the boot. The patent for it was filed in 2011, and it has been built since 2013. Steps bent, riveted, covered and packed in our workshop. Over 3,000 dogs now walk on it: with owners of large, older or impaired dogs, dog walkers, search-and-rescue dog teams, the fire brigade and vet practices.
